2026 Coaching Supervision Learning Group

About this event

Facilitated by Laurie Weiss, Ph.D., MCC and Lynn Winterboer, MIM, ACC

Coaching Supervision is a collaborative space for support, self-discovery, and professional development. This Learning Group invites coaches to reflect together on real aspects of their coaching practice in a safe, respectful environment.

Through shared dialogue, participants explore their journey toward becoming more masterful in the way they work with clients—bringing not only skill, but their genuine self, into each coaching session.

How Coaching Supervision Differs from Mentor Coaching

Unlike Mentor Coaching, supervision moves beyond technical skill development. The focus is on deepening awareness of the coach’s internal process, presence, and impact, supporting growth at both the personal and professional level.

The ICF recognizes Coaching Supervision as an important practice that benefits both coaches and clients. Participation qualifies for Core Competency CCE credits.

This is a drop-in group. While ongoing attendance is encouraged, you do not need to attend every session to gain value. Coaches at all levels of experience benefit from learning through shared reflection and diverse perspectives.

Coaching Supervision May Include:

  • Exploring the coach’s internal process through reflective practice

  • Gaining multiple perspectives on challenging or “sticky” cases

  • Developing alternative approaches to complex coaching situations

  • Recognizing psychological contracts—both implicit and explicit—beyond the formal coaching agreement

  • Uncovering blind spots

  • Identifying potential ethical considerations

  • Deepening the effectiveness and impact of coaching engagements

Sessions use a dialogue-based process, allowing participants to receive and share observations with other coaching professionals.

Through this work, coaches expand their self-reflection skills, leading to greater self-discovery, clarity, and confidence in their coaching practice.
