The Power of Somatics in Coaching
May 14, 2018 from 11:00am – 12:30pm MT
Virtual Program (Webinar)
Presented by Carol Harris-Fike CCEs: 1.5 in Core Competencies
ABOUT THE WEBINAR
The Power of Somatics in Coaching has become evident in the study of the body/brain science and its impact on learning. Coaching is about supporting our clients in learning; experiencing a new awareness or seeing a new possibility. Learning begins in the body with making meaning of the sensations we feel and then express in thoughts and words. In this webinar we will experiment with 3 somatic practices that enhance the effectiveness of the coach and that can be offered to clients, as well. We’ll explore the difference it makes to bring coherence among the body, emotions, and language when working toward a goal. Carol will share ways coaches can use somatics to help accelerate and deepen the process of change. Participants will discover how the use of somatics supports the demonstration of specific ICF PCC Markers.
