Team Coaching is a new and burgeoning field in coaching and now recognized formally by ICF as of April 2023 when they created their new Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC).

The main purpose of this group is to explore, learn, and practice the body of knowledge on team coaching. This group is for anyone who is interested in learning about- or is already practicing- team coaching.

Key learning points, outcomes and benefits for participants:

We will:

a. Explore the expanded competencies that ICF recognizes.

b. Share elements of the coaching process from contracting to assessment to the engagement and close-out.

c. Create an environment to learn from others, as we invite diverse guest speakers.

d. Engage experiential learning through simulation, practice, and developing team coaching processes.

e. Expand our approach for growing our team coaching opportunities by how we enlist teams, people, to engage clients, sponsors, etc.

f. Research team assessments and their value/challenges with teams.

g. Partner to discuss co-coaching: when, why, roles, benefits, and importance.

h. Learn the ingredients for a psychologically safe and inclusive environment for teams to increase trust, alignment, and performance.

Experiential Learning Through:

We will host demonstrations, discuss case studies, have coach simulations, and create opportunities to practice skills. We will explore putting our own assessments together. Additionally, we will have time for group sharing about questions or concerns that participants have about team coaching.

We will share resources and encourage ongoing conversation in a Basecamp group.
